The artist’s freedom is to propose and the public’s freedom is to decide to go there.
A loss of time, nourished by the cult of history and abused by the abundance of supermarkets.
We criticize our everyday lives and project the questions of tomorrow. We become a silhouette of the death of our systems. „Of course, milk also re- fers to the nourishing relationship between mother and baby. If it‘s so vital, this gift of milk is complete. Therefore, religions will use it as a symbol of divi- ne love and man‘s dependence on his Creator. The Catholic religion makes the breast-feeding virgin to the image of the church that nourishes its children spiritually.„ Eric BIRLOUEZ
Milk is a symbol in many cultures as you can see in the following list and legends. In the book Exo- dus the only god of the Jewish people, Moses had promised to lead his people „to a land where milk and honey ows“. It is the food of the gods, milk is also associated with a certain longing for the Gol- den Age, the world of childhood, naivety and in- nocence, which can explain the views of this drink. The Greeks believed that milk, like honey, has the power to breathe life into the dead. So the world of the followers of Hinduism was born from a sea of milk that was vigorously stirred up by the gods. The son of Zeus Heracles (Hercules) throws himself with such greed at the breast of the goddess Hera that a gush of milk bubbles out of her and crosses the sky, forming the Milky Way, our galaxy. In ancient civi- lizations, milk and water have always been closely linked. They represent the two variants of the same principle of life
(milk is the exclusive Food of the newborn, water is necessary for the germination of seeds). We were educated by human history. Our generation is the result of abusive consumption. We multiply this ge- neration with the need for excessive consumption because we have not learned otherwise. But our conscious Society is based on our decadence. A cornucopia that‘s always full, a wallet that‘s less and less valuable. A diet that is no longer recom- mended to be consumed. Our destroyed society is like a slow death.
