Jack Drums’s annual Summer School at Auckland Castle for children and young people from County Durham grown out of an idea by young leaders from our #iwill Create Culture social action project.
The summer school was delivered over four days using drama, music and song to explore the history of local food production culminating in a show performed for family and friends. Children and young people worked with staff and young leaders from Jack Drum and Auckland Castle, and undertook their research with Incredible Edible, a sustainable food project in Bishop Auckland. Filmed and edited by Laura Degnan.
Produced with funding from Vigin Money Foundation, Youth Music and The Auckland Project.
