Did you know optimal health is not always about what you eat?
Often, times we forget the foundations to optimal health – chewing our food.
When you were a toddler, whomever raised you told you to chew your food, right?
They were not just saying this for fun.
In fact, this was one of the first steps I took towards healing my body of 30 years of chronic pain and disease. I started to re-learn how to chew my food. With patience, practice, and perseverance – I can tell you this is and was a game changer in my health.
Shortly after applying this skill, I’ll never forget going out to eat with friends, and I was getting teased for taking my time eating. I said, I am sorry I chew my food. And a head Dietitian at a very prominent hospital said, “Oh yeah, I learned that in school, but I do not do it.”
The healing happens in the doing – not the knowing.
I recently talked about chewing on my YouTube video, and I went into the doctor the other day (maintenance check-up) and the Rehabilitation Specialist told me he saw that video. And proceeded with, “Wow, this has really changed my health in the last two weeks. I totally forgot to chew my food, and now that I am, I feel so much better.”
