Sculptor Rosalyn Driscoll was commissioned by the Saint-Gaudens Memorial Trust to create a temporary installation in 2018 for an exhibition at the country estate of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the great American 19th century sculptor. Driscoll’s installation translates Saint-Gaudens’ artistic intentions into contemporary language, using
canvas, epoxy resin, wire, silicone tubing and paint to make a 270-foot long ribbon in 28 panels that runs through a line of birches.
