It’s truly a misnomer by the state legislature. It’s a right to die with dignity. It means that if you have no mental activity going on upstairs, that the hospital can disconnect you from respiratory treatment, hydration, and food, and essentially let you just expire on your own.
Most people will sign a release and allow the hospital do that. After 30 days, two doctors have to agree to it and the person you designate in your living will has to also consent.
